14 & UNDER (60 X 90) WORLD SERIES INFORMATION:
Congratulations on qualifying to participate in the 2011 CABA 14 & Under (60 X 90) World Series. We thank you for your participation and hope that the tournament will be an exciting and memorable experience.

AGE DIVISION: 14 and under
ENTRY DEADLINE: All entry information must be received by July 5, 2012
If necessary, you must utilize overnight delivery service to ensure that your entry is received on time.

ENTRY INFORMATION: The entry fee for the World Series is $800.00 per team. You must be registered with CABA and have a registration number to enter. Go through your state director to register. If you are not sure who your state director is then print the application on the CABA web site - http://www.cababaseball.com - and send it along with the entry fee to:

FACILITIES: Veteran’s Field (Headquarters), Eskew Field, Cumberland University (Home of the 2004 and 2010 NAIA National Champions), Friendship Christian School, Mt Juliet High School, and Wilson Central High School

CABA MEMBERSHIP: All teams must be registered through a State Director or directly through the CABA National Office.

COMPETITION FORMAT: In general, the eight (8) days of competition will consist of:

1. Pool play, the pools will be geographically oriented.  Teams will be guaranteed 6 games in pool play. Following the completion of pool play, the top teams will advance to the Championship bracket.

2. The top teams (8, 12, 16 - number depends on the # of teams in the tournament) from pool play will go into a double elimination championship bracket.

Pool Play Games will have a 2-hour time limit or follow mercy rule guidelines based on number of innings played. Game times start on first pitch.

Championship Bracket Games will be 7 inning games or follow mercy rule guidelines based on number of innings played. There is no time limit.

If any portion of the tournament is delayed or modified due to inclement weather or any other cause, all participating teams are expected to play at any time. No exceptions will be made to accommodate travel plans made for the rain delay. In the event of inclement weather, the Tournament Director reserves the right to change the tournament format to ensure completion of the tournament.

ON-SITE CHECK IN: Friday, July 13, from 12:00p.m. to 3:30p.m. All teams must officially check in at Harold Dean Greer Recreation Center, located at 416 Baird Park Circle Lebanon, Tennessee 37087. Players should not attend registration with the coach.

All coaches must be present at registration with all required materials.

COACHES’ MEETING: MANDATORY MEETINGS
The pre-tournament coaches meeting will be Friday, July 13 at Harold Dean Greer Recreation Center, beginning at 4:00p.m. The head coach from each team is required to attend. Other mandatory meetings will be announced during the tournament and will be held between the different rounds of play to determine seeding and schedules. All brackets and field assignments will be available at this point.

OPENING CEREMONIES & BANQUET: Friday, July 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Jimmy Floyd Family Center. A barbecue dinner will be provided for all players and coaches at no charge. Parents and friends are encouraged to attend also and may purchase the dinner for a reasonable price. We will recognize all teams, and provide entertainment. Tournament passes and souvenirs will be on sale during this time.

ADMISSION FEE: Admission for coaches, players and bat persons is included in the team entry fee. Day Passes will be $7. There will also be a Tournament Pass for $30. Children 10 and under will be admitted free.

ACTIVITIES:
Monday night July 16 we are planning a Home Run Derby and other activities at Veterans Field followed by a great fireworks display.  Tuesday night July 17 we are planning a Luau/Swim night at the Jimmy Floyd Center.  Several prizes will be given to activity winners.

AWARDS: Trophies will be awarded to the top two teams and their players in the Championship bracket. There will also be individual awards such as MVP, Most Valuable Pitcher, Batting Champion, Golden Glove and the Mr. Hustle Award as well as an All Tournament Team. 

RULES:
The CABA 14U World Series will be conducted in accordance with the rules outlined in the
CABA 2011 rule book. The rule book is available through state and league directors and is also
available on line at the CABA web site.

CONDUCT:
Player’s and coach’s conduct should be above reproach, both on and off the field. Coaches listed
on the official team roster will be responsible for the conduct of the players and for any damages
incurred to the hotel(s) or facilities used by their roster players. Any coach ejected from a game
must set out the remainder of the game and be removed from the dugout. Any player ejected
from a game will also be disqualified from that team’s following game. The second occurrence
during the tournament results in suspension for the remainder of the tournament as well as
possible imposition of further sanctions.

PROTEST:
Protests must be made verbally with the umpire by the offended team at the time of the play and
before the next pitch. All decisions of the protest committee shall be final. Only decisions
involving the misinterpretation or misapplication of a rule may be protested. No protest shall be
allowed in matters involving solely the official’s judgment.

9. CHILDREN MUST BE SUPREVISED AT ALL TIMES
10. NO BATTING OR THROWING BALLS INTO FENCES OR DUGOUTS
11. NO CLIMBING ON FENCES OR BUILDINGS
12. NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO VEHICLES OR INJURY DUE TO FOUL OR ERRANT BALLS
13. NO PEPPER CATCH BETWEEN DUGOUTS
14. NO SOFT TOSS OR BATTING PRACTICE AGAINST INSIDE WALLS OF FENCE
15. KEEP HANDS OFF NETS AT ALL TIMES
16. NO PROFANITY
17. NO SPECTATORS ON FIELD ONLY PLAYERS AND COACHES
18. SPEED LIMIT 15 MPH THROUGH PARKS
19. ABSOULETY NO FIREARMS ON CITY PROPERTY
